Magnetic Moment of the Ω in QCD sumrule (QCDSR)
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Ω− magnetic moment was measured very accurately and experimentalists remarked that it differs from the theoretical estimates, thus posing a challenge to the latter. One such estimation uses QCDSR. We revisit this sumrule method, using condensate parameters which were obtained from fitting the differences (μp − μn), (μΣ+ − μΣ−) and (μΞ0 − μΞ−) [1] and confirm the experimental number. The μ∆++ is also found to agree with the experimental estimate.

We support the idea that the baryon, B with mass MB, couples to its current with a coupling λB ∼ 0.71 M 6 B from an analysis of magnetic moment sum rules. And we find a sum rule among the experimental magnetic moments which is independent of the parameters of QCDSR.

متن کاملThe Ω and ΣΛ transition magnetic moment in QCD Sum Rules
The method of QCD sum rules in the presence of the external electromagnetic Fμν field is used to calculate the Ω magnetic moment μΩ and the Σ Λ transition magnetic moment μΣ0Λ, with the susceptibilities obtained previously from the study of octet baryon magnetic moments. The results μΩ = −1.92μN and μΣ0Λ = 1.5μN are in good agreement with the recent experimental data.
متن کاملTwo new sum rules for octet-baryon magnetic moments (μ) and constraints on QCD sum rules from new experimental determination of μ-s for the decuplet
Recently the μ∆++ was found from a fit to π p scattering [1]. This enable us to pinpoint condensate parameters more precisely in the context of QCD sum rules (QCDSR). In the octet sector, the Coleman-Glashow sum rule (CGSR) [2] is violated by the experimental μ-s. QCDSR allows us to write down two sum rules similar to the CGSR, which are obeyed by the experimental magnetic moments, whereas they...
متن کاملMean field baryon magnetic moments and sumrules
– New developments have spurred interest in magnetic moments (μ-s) of baryons. The measurement of some of the decuplet μ-s and the findings of new sumrules from various methods are partly responsible for this renewed interest. Our model, inspired by large colour approximation, is a relativistic self consistent mean field description with a modified Richardson potential and is used to describe t...
